Sales tax

The Hydrate Store is powered by WordPress and WooCommerce, and credit card payments are processed through Stripe.

During the checkout process, whether you checkout as a guest or log into your account, the e-commerce system will apply necessary sales taxes based on several factors. 

1. Product Type: Physical products are generally subject to sales taxes, where “digital” products are generally not taxable.
2. Shipping Address: If your order requires shipment to a state that requires us to collect sales taxes, the sales tax calculation will occur on the final checkout page, the sales taxes will be added to your total amount, and remitted to the appropriate tax agency.
3. Additional Requirements: If there are any other requirements to collect sales or use tax, it will be added to your total sale amount and remitted to the appropriate tax agency.
